In this section we will inform you about new programs and calls co-financed and European Programs.

1. FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME HORIZON 2020 (OPEN MISCELLANEOUS CALLS FOR PROPOSALS FROM 11/03/2014)

The European Commission launched in late November 2013 the European Programme - Framework for funding research and innovation actions called HORIZON 2020 (HORIZON 2020). This new program is going to fund research and innovation in the period 2014 - 2020 total budget of € 80 billion and is the largest ever program has been launched. The main purpose of the Program is to integrate scientific data products and services based on innovation. The main axes of the program is the promotion of Europe and the countries that the leader of disciplines (Excellent Science), securing industrial leadership in innovation (Industrial Leadership) and addressing societal challenges (Societal Challenges). Priority Programme for the Years 2014-2015 is to focus on twelve (12) research areas to be funded. The basic of the areas are: personalized healthcare, transportation, "green" energy, digital security, information technology and communications and "smart" cities. The first calls for the years 2014-2015 include inter alia a budget of 500 million specifically for SMBs. The program implementation is to be carried out using procedures that do not require special paperwork in relation to that we used in the past, so they are more attractive to attract interested. A key feature of the implementation is to create a single flat rate for indirect costs (25% of direct costs) and two levels of funding for a survey (funded 100%) and one for activities relating to the market (70% financing).

The first calls are open to the December 11, 2013, with key features: a) For each project there is a specified percentage of all funding bodies. B) For innovation projects the rate will be 70% and for research projects the rate will be 100%. C) Is there a specific rate for indirect costs (overheads) which is 25% of direct costs (excluding subcontracting, third parties expenses and financial aid third parties). D) There is a significant decrease in time to sign a contract longer defined five months (from submission to-earnings) plus three months (from announcement of results by signing the Contract).

For SMEs introducing new financial instruments for SMEs, providing support in three phases: Initial feasibility study (aid lump 50.000 €), Development of innovative products / services (grant 70% of costs), access to other funding sources (eg example, VCs, loans from the European Investment Bank, etc.). More details of funding in three phases will be as follows:

Phase 1 (Feasibility Phase) in which an assessment of the technological and commercial potential of a project / idea. Then, examine the viability of the idea, the risks assessed, the status of copyright, partner search, the design of the study, the intention piloting the idea, the business plan idea.

Phase 2: (main funding) which will be given to SMEs to undertake research and development, focusing on demonstrating the product / service and reproduce the market (market replication). Emphasis will be on development, prototyping, testing, piloting innovative processes, products and services, the design of products / services, design and development of the idea of ​​scaling (segments, processes, etc.).

Phase 3 (Phase trading): SMEs will be supported indirectly through simplified access to capital and equity financial instruments (VCs, Business Angels, etc.).

Successful completion of a phase will allow an SME to proceed to the next. Proposals for funding may be submitted only in selected thematic areas of the pillars 'Societal Challenges' and «LEIT». For the evaluation of proposals will take into account three criteria: the soundness of the proposal, its impact and the quality and efficiency of implementation.

Indicative Programme for SMEs:

ICT (Information Communication Technologies): Does collaborative research and / or innovation in information technology and telecommunications. THEMES: new generation of systems and structural parts, Future Internet, and content management technologies, robotics, etc. BUDGET: for 2014 is 694 million €.

ICT Innovation Actions: ICT 37 - Open Disruptive Innovation Scheme to SME financing. 3 cut-off dates 18/6, 24/9, 17/12. - ICT 14 - Advanced 5G Network Infrastructures for Future Internet ("low cost radio access supporting low rate IoT & very high rate (> 1 Gbits / sec) access", "radio, optical, cooper based backhaul / fronthaul integration).

Factories of the Future (FoF): Collaborative research and / or innovation in technology that will be used in the industries of the future. THEMES: Process optimization for industrial resources, intelligent use of energy and other industrial resources, human-robot symbiosis, smart industries attractive to workers, etc. BUDGET: for 2014 116 million €.

Energy: Collaborative research and / or innovation in technologies of intelligent energy use and technologies low energy footprint. THEMES: Intelligent Energy (buildings, heating / cooling industry, etc), competitive low carbon energy, smart cities and communities, the media and the fast path to innovation in energy, etc. BUDGET: for 2014 560 million €.

FET (Future and Emerging Technologies): Collaborative research to change the existing level of knowledge and research. The aim is to discover new, break-through knowledge. Open 24/7 for proposals (being 3 cut-off dates).

SMART CITIES (Innovation Actions): BUDGET: 2014, € 89 million for 2015 and € 107 million relates to: Cartels municipalities and industry.


2. ACT 1.2.3.B / THIRD CALL - 
MINISTRY OF AGROCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

This action has a budget of 100 million € and enhances existing projects and only companies active in the manufacturing and marketing products based on: meat (sfageiotechnikes units - units of standardization and meat cutting, processing units and processing meat - salami, management units under -products), eggs - poultry (units of production and packaging of eggs, processors and processing poultry), milk (treatment plants and standardization of cheese, milk, yogurt), honey (processing units and standardization honey), snail farming and sericulture (units reeling cocoons and standardization unit snails), cereals (plants and standardization - epexergsaias cereal and rice-generating units and silos), oil (oil products - standardization units, oil mills, packing - Tipopiitiria oil), wine (unit production of quality wines and F . OD), vegetables (units epexragsias and standardization of fresh vegetables, tomatoes, citrus), flower-seeds and propagating material (processing units and standardization of seed and propagating material), feed (feed mixtures production units and storage units) medicinal and aromatic plants (units standardization and processing of all types of medicinal and aromatic plants).

The projects submitted is categorized into two types: drawings from 100.000 € to 500.000 € and 500.000 € from plans and more. Beneficiaries of Measure 1.2.3.The Existing enterprises of all kinds of private law legal form (sole proprietorships, corporations SWF, EE, Co., Ltd, SA) and Rural Cooperative associations of each step.

The subsidy rate of investment projects, ranging from 40% to 50% of the budget depending on the geographic region of the Chair of the firm making the investment plan, while the small Aegean islands the subsidy rate reaches 65% of the budget.

Measure 1.2.3.The 'will be open to submissions of proposals until the exhaustion of the budget of 100 million €.

The eligible costs include: construction or building completion, supply of machinery, supply and installation of computer and other equipment, buy software, provision of means of transport, cost of consultancy services for project management / studies for market research or sales promotion / planning, development and certification of management systems, overheads etc.

Submitted projects may involve the establishment or expansion or modernization of production capacity of enterprises. You may not submit business plans by - establishing businesses.

3. GREEK INVESTMENT LAW – MINISTRY OF DEVELOPMENT (EXPECTED A NEW CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS IN OCTOMBER 2014)

By Greek Investment Law funded by Ministry of Development, it is possible to companies situated in all Greek Regions, to implement investments in selected sectors of manufacturing, services and tourism. Projects in I.L., provide the following types of aid: a) Grant is to provide free by the State funds to cover part of the cost of an assisted project, b) Subsidy leasing blanking of the State Board of installments paid leasing contract for the acquisition of machinery and equipment, c) Tax exemption (only at the option of the investor) to the exemption from payment of income tax on pre-tax profits being made, resulting in the tax legislation, of the entire business enterprise.

Expected in Octomber 2014, by our Ministry of Development to announce the new version of the Investment Law, in which there will be substantial changes compared to previous versions (Law 3299/04, Law 3908/2011). Eligible investment per production sector and industry are: Agricultural sector (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry), Mining and Quarrying (except coal and lignite), Manufacturing sector (excluding the steel, synthetic fibers and the coal industry - and the production of electricity by photovoltaic systems), water supply, sewerage, waste management and decontamination, Transportation and Storage, Tourist sector (only establishment, expansion, modernization and upgrading of hotel units at least 3 *, and special tourist activities - excludes other accommodation and food service activities and providing drinks), Publishing activities, construction sector (coastal and port construction works and construction works for coastal and port constructions), Department service - eligible firms in industries: Motion picture, video and television program production, sound recording and music publishing, Telecommunications, computer programming and information services, scientific research and development, other professional, scientific and technical activities (Specialised design, photography), office administrative, office support and other business support business, health tourism Investments, Activities assistance with accommodation (nursing homes), libraries, archives, museums and other cultural activities, Repair of computers and personal and household goods.

Not eligible sectors of construction (except the exception of coastal and port projects), trade, education and health.

Eligible expenditure costs of construction, expansion, modernization and building of special auxiliary facilities, purchase and installation of new machinery and equipment, intangible costs and expenses consultancy fees.

RATES OF AID: rates of business plans, will be determined by Geographic Region and type of enterprise (micro, small, medium or large company based in the EU Regulation) under the new Regional Aid Map and class variation will be from from 20 to 50%. The limits of investment projects will be determined in the new edition of the Investment Company Act and is expected to follow what existed in previous versions, namely: 150-200.000 € for Very Small Enterprises, 300.000 € for Small Enterprises, 500.000 € for 1000 and Medium Enterprises .000 € for Large Enterprises.

4. PROGRAM SUPPORT “FEMALE ENTREPRENEURSHIP” (EXPECTED DAY IN SHORT TIME)

Expected in the next period to be launched a new program to aid juvenile female entrepreneurship, with grants up to 50%, with the financial support of the European Union. Prerequisite is now 51% and above belong to a woman or group of women through the actions of "New Innovative Entrepreneurship". The Budget Projects to be supported will be: from 30,000 euros to 300,000 euros for investment projects manufacturing character, and from 20,000 euros to 200,000 euros for projects active in all sectors of economic activities. The purpose of the program is to encourage the creation and start-ups by women and indeed new who want to transform an innovative idea or a patented know-how is not yet commercially exploited in business innovation. Beneficiaries: Eligible sectors are the bakery - production of rusks and biscuits, macaroni, noodles, cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery, condiments, spices, prepared meals and dishes, distilled spirits, homogenised food preparations and dietetic food, etc. They can also join the program manufacturer of textile materials, manufacturing clothing, luggage, handbags and footwear, wood products and cork and furniture, women computer programmers and computer systems, those providing technical support for information technology, specialized software applications, multimedia software as well as business engaged in scientific research and development in interior design, industrial design and specialized design and those who produce original designs. Businesses should be set up and have date activity after the date notice of the program, the purpose of commercial exploitation - providing innovative ideas and untapped scientific, technological or non-technological and marketing knowledge and necessarily take the form of a commercial company or sole proprietorship or partnership profit no later than the first disbursement of the corresponding grant.

Only new very small and small companies will be helped on this program.

5. YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM AID (EXPECTED DAY IN SHORT TIME)

The notice of a new grant program operating costs of enterprises belonging to the young people (until 40 years), is expected to open by the Ministry of Development. The program will be targeted at small and very small companies, which have strong shareholder relationship with young entrepreneurs. The costs will be reinforced regarding the establishment, organization and operation of the business,  as fees for legal services and administrative support and counseling that have a direct connection with the establishment of the company until their external financing and interest costs for energy, water and heating, plus administrative charges and taxes to the government and the wider public sector, municipal taxes etc. In the same context, and provided aid expenditure for payroll. At the same time, strengthened and leasing costs of facilities and production equipment.

Business Plan Includes: The minimum cost is defined in 100.000 euros for very small businesses and 150,000 euros for small businesses. The financing of the investment project is carried out either through equity or through external financing and documented at least 30% of the cost of the investment project. The expenditure on the project, which is not covered by one of the proposed aid's special youth entrepreneurship can also finance: equity or participation in other State aid scheme (whether investment law or in another program, eg ESPA),

Rates of Grant: In regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Epirus, Western Greece, Thessaly, Ionian Islands, Crete, Peloponnese, Northern Aegean, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia aid rates down 35% for expenditure incurred in the first three years after the establishment of business and 25% for expenditure incurred in the next two years. These rates increased by 5% on the islands of these regions with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants. In the South Aegean region, Central Greece and Attica defined aid rates of 25% for expenditure incurred in the first three years after the founding of the company and 15% for expenditure incurred in the two following years.
